Bio

Ahmet Güneştekin was born in Batman in 1966. The artist, started to paint at the age of 5 and opened his first solo exhibition at the age of 16. He studied Business Administration at Eskisehir Anatolian University. Until now, he participated in many artistic activities including nearly 80 solo and group exhibitions. In his paintings, the color spirals restrained with lines, that curl within each other, then widen and often refer to the grasping power of local myths. His paintings not only touches the realities of Anatolian life in these compositions, but also present visual resolutions about how these realities function with line and color. He continues to work in his studio in Istanbul.
